The 3 Claude Skills That Actually Move Marketing Forward
Marketing is a consistency problem more than a creativity problem. Most founders know what they want to say. They just can't keep up with how often they need to say it — the content calendar, the social posts, the email sequence — while also running everything else.
The Marketing pack has 4 skills. Here are the three that solve the output problem.
/content-calendar
A content calendar sounds like a simple thing to make. It isn't. You have to decide on themes, figure out what angles work for each week, pick the right formats, and make sure none of it is just noise. Most people spend more time planning the calendar than actually creating from it.
/content-calendar takes a one-line brief about your product or brand and plans a full month of content — week themes, hooks, formats, and angles. It doesn't give you generic "motivational Monday" filler. It gives you a structured plan you can actually execute against.
--linkedin adjusts the output for LinkedIn-specific formats and audience expectations. --newsletter plans the month as a series of newsletter editions instead, with a throughline connecting each one.
Planning content shouldn't take longer than creating it. This gets the plan done so you can spend your time on the actual work.
/social-post
The gap between having something to say and actually posting it is where most social media strategies die. You have the idea, you sit down to write it, and somehow 45 minutes pass and you're still not happy with the first line.
/social-post takes any idea and writes a ready-to-post social media post for LinkedIn, Twitter/X, or both. It handles the formatting differences between platforms — what works as a LinkedIn carousel hook doesn't work as a tweet, and this accounts for that.
--thread expands the idea into a multi-post thread with a strong opener and a clear closer. --repurpose takes a piece of content you've already written — a newsletter, a blog post, a talk — and adapts it into social format so you're not starting from scratch.
You still need the idea. This removes everything that happens after you have one.
/email-campaign
A single marketing email is manageable. A full sequence — launch campaign, welcome series, re-engagement flow — is where things fall apart. Each email needs a different job, a different tone, a subject line that doesn't cannibalize the last one. Most people end up writing two emails and calling it done.
/email-campaign writes a complete multi-email sequence with subject line, preview text, body, and CTA for each email. Every email in the sequence has a specific purpose and connects to the one before it.
--launch structures the sequence for a product or feature launch — building anticipation, announcing, following up with proof. --welcome writes an onboarding sequence for new subscribers or signups, designed to move them from curious to committed.
A sequence that actually gets written is infinitely better than a perfect one you never finish.
All four skills in the Marketing pack — including /seo-brief for generating structured SEO content briefs — are available to Skills Pack members. They ship as SKILL.md files — drop them into ~/.claude/skills/ and invoke with the slash command in Claude Code, Cursor, or Codex.
