The 3 Claude Skills YouTubers Actually Need
I spent a lot of time building the YouTuber pack trying to think about where creators actually lose time. Not the uploading. Not the editing. The part before all of that — sitting in front of a blank doc trying to figure out what you're even trying to say.
There are 5 skills in the pack. These are the three I'd install first.
/script-writer
The blank page problem is real. You know what the video is about, but you don't know where to start, and you spend 40 minutes writing a first paragraph you end up deleting anyway.
/script-writer takes a one or two sentence brief and returns a full script — hook, structure, transitions, CTA. You pick the mode with flags: --talking-head for direct-to-camera, --voiceover for narrated footage, --short for vertical content under 60 seconds.
What it actually gets right is the hook. Most AI writing tools open with something vague that sounds like the beginning of a Wikipedia article. This one opens with a specific tension or claim. The kind that stops the scroll instead of confirming it.
You still edit the output. But you're editing something real instead of staring at nothing.
/title-hook
You can make a great video and still tank its performance by giving it a weak title. That's not a creative failure — it's a framing failure, and it's genuinely hard to catch from inside your own content.

The useful thing here isn't that it writes good titles. It's that it forces you to see your video from multiple angles — the result angle, the mistake angle, the contrarian angle, the "how to" angle. Run this before every upload. You'll pick something you wouldn't have written yourself.
/shorts-repurpose
Most creators have more content than they realize. The long-form video you uploaded six months ago probably has three moments in it that would cut into a compelling Short — you just never went back to find them.
/shorts-repurpose does two things. You can give it a topic brief and it writes a standalone Shorts script. Or you give it a summary of an existing video and it identifies the 3 best clip moments — the sharpest tension, the most quotable line, the clearest before-and-after — that would work in vertical.
The --multi flag returns all three moments at once with suggested hook overlays for the first 3 seconds. --hook-only gives you just the opening line if that's all you need.
If you're not repurposing your long-form content, you're doing twice the work for half the reach. This makes the repurposing take minutes instead of hours.
